Good afternoon everyone, today is the first day of San Diego Comic Con 2025 and that means a toy of toy news will be coming at ya all day and over the course of the weekend! So, buckle up, sit tight, and we'll take you on a ride.
Let's take a look at what NECA showed off during their breakfast preview and it's quite a lot, so we'll be breaking it down into the different themes/IPs. Also, I believe almost everything here is available to pre-order at various retailers.
Sesame Street
I'm going to apologize right now, I'm not familiar with a few of these characters, I know six of the eight characters.
Herry Monster (I had no clue who this was, it took a while to even figure it out as well)
Oscar the Grouch
Big Bird
Grover
Blue Skinned Business Guy (I have no clue who this and I couldn't figure it out with Google)
Ultimate Bert
Ultimate Ernie
Ultimate The Count

While I grew up on Sesame Street, I won't be collecting these figures.
DC Animated
These kind of look like the Toony Terrors line, so I'm guessing the DC Animated line with like that with super stylized proportions. There were only three characters shown with another three repaints of the same characters. The repaint set seem to be based off of the 1992 Batman Returns film as well.
Batman
Catwoman
The Penguin

Ben Cooper Costume Kids Collection
Like Jon Snow, I know nothing when it comes to what these are but upon my Google sessions, I did find out that the Ben Cooper Costume Kids Collection by NECA is a tribute to the beloved Halloween costumes of the mid-20th century, reimagined as collectible action figures that capture the essence of vintage trick-or-treating experiences.
Tiki Terror
Garfield
Pee-Wee Herman
Predator
Michael Myers
Pennywise the Clown
Leatherface
Art the Clown
Billy Jack the Puppet
The Fly
Planet of the Apes ape
Godzilla
Dungeons and Dragons characters (I have no clue who they are besides War Duke)
Jaws
Tarman
I'm sure these are neat to people who grew up with these style Halloween costumes, I only remember having an Egon Spengler from The Real Ghostbusters costume that was like this so I don't really have any nostalgia for these.

Universal Monsters
So, these are right up my alley. The Universal Monsters are classic and iconic, I don't know a single person alive that doesn't know the Universal Monsters and as someone who grew up just 2 hours north of Universal Studios Florida (I know, not really the same as Universal Studios Hollywood where the actual films were made back in the 1920s), they have a very special place in my heart.
Invisible Man
Metaluna Mutant
Phantom of the Opera
The Mummy Imhotep
Bride of Frankenstein
Frankenstein's Monster
Classic Movie Monster The Mummy
Classic Movie Monster Frankenstein (NECA has the wrong terminology here, it should be Frankenstein's Monster)
Classic Movie Monster Dracula
Classic Movie Monster The Wolfman
I'm not going to collect them all but those carded Classic Movie Monster figures are a must buy for me.

Horror
This is where the bulk of today's reveals are, which some don't exactly belong here, but the Horrow banner is the closest for those figures. I'm not going to list every single figure, it's a lot and we'd have a giant run on article if I did, so instead I will be putting what each movie (or series) the figures represent.
Surfs Up Chucky
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice
Hammer Horror
Terrifier
IT
Texas Chain Saw Massacre
House of 1,000 Corpses
Evil Dead
Ghost Face
thanksgiving
Halloween Movies
Friday The 13th
American Werewolf in London
The Howling
Predator: Hunting Grounds
Predator Badlands
Alien Romulus
Jaws
The Munsters
The Golden Girls (Why, why are these included with the Horror stuff)
Honestly, none of these are of interest to me. I know the Horror brand stuff are hot sellers for NECA but they're just not for me, although I did own a ton of the first series of Predators and Friday the 13th.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
There are a lot of TMNT reveals and just like the Horror stuff, I'm only going to post what line they're a part of. I will say this though, I'm going to go crazy hunting down some of these, I absolutely love the Mirage line, the cartoon line stuff, and the new Usagi style Turtles are beautiful.
TMNT Cartoon Series
Garfield x TMNT
TMNT 2012
The Last Ronin
TMNT Comic Series
TMNT x Universal Monsters
TMNT Movie
There are quite a few here that I'll be buying; but mainly the 2012 Turtles and the Usagi Turtles.
