Hey everyone, we've got a pretty fun and unique Hasbro item to talk about today. This is an item that I'm absolutely in love with; Hasbro is giving us a repaint of The Real Ghostbusters Ecto-1 vehicle but they're doing it in the Ecto-Glow style.

For those that are unaware (and I'm not going to do a full history on the Ecto-Glow line because that is actually the subject of a future article I'm working on) but the Ecto-Glow sub-line from 1991 was the last wave of figures in the American market before the toyline as a whole was ended and they are incredibly rare.

As far as fans are aware, there was only ever a single vehicle planned for the Ecto-Glow line but it was never released (the Glow Copter) and an Ecto-1 variant was likely never even considered, so this is a welcome addition to any The Real Ghostbusters collection in my opinion.

This Ecto-1 is just a direct repaint of the original release but with the main body being molded in a glow in the dark plastic and added paint apps on the hood and rear quarter panels of the car (unsure if the rear door has any new paint apps as they don't show it closed). It still features the rooftop gunner seat that can be removed and stored in the back of the vehicle, as well as the action feature winch with ghost (now molded in a glow in the dark plastic).

As someone who never owned (and unless I can get the SDCC 2025 exclusive releases of them) the Ecto-Glow variants of the four Ghostbusters, this is a must buy for my collection to at least have some representation of the Ecto-Glow line.
